As I walk along this road of loneliness
and my time is slowly passing by
I wanna put my life in better order
well at least I'm really gonna try
Today my world - it's feeling so much bigger
and my life's been full of change
This feels just like a another New Beginning,
and I'm standing in a spotlight on the stage
(On my own again - it feels so strange
and my whole life has been rearranged
I'm tryin' to find a way to face this change
and I'm tired of the feeling that I've been shortchanged
As I walk around my empty house
and I think about the ones I've left behind
All the friends that I don't ever see
all the friends still left to find
I cling tightly to the ones I love
to try to ease the pain
and I know that they are all the ones I need
to keep this crazy life from driving me insane
On my own again - it feels so strange
and my whole life has been rearranged
I'm tryin' to find a way to face this change
and I'm tired of the feeling that I've been shortchanged
Now my road is not as long and lonely anymore
cause I've found a friend to love and share my days
I don't have to walk alone in the dark - that's for sure
her inner beauty will help me light my way
I will walk with her along the shining beaches of our life
never knowing what will wash up on the shore
I'm awakening to the growing possibilities of life
and I'm hoping that I'll find an open door
On my own again - it feels so strange
and my whole life has been rearranged
Well I've found a home again - and that's for sure
I'll live in her love, and it's oh so pure
