Space Traveler
04:58
|
|||
The Space Traveler, he travels,
from galaxy to galaxy
So alone in his Starship
He's adrift on the Cosmic Sea
The Space Traveler, he's tired
He lives in Desperation's Time
'Cause the Planet that he's lived on
has exploded into Nuclear Fire.
The Space Traveler, he's not Happy
'Cause he sees what his Brothers have done
He tried to stop them, but,
They were Crazy
Some day the will Destroy the Sun
How we should Fear the Space Traveler
Because in him, Ourselves we see
He can Flee this place in his Starship
he's not Earthbound, like You and Me

One Light Year at a Time
04:16
|
|||
Well I'm Cruisin' along
and I'm singin' my Song
and I'm Lookin' for a Home along the Way
As I'm flyin' through Space
Well I feel quite Misplaced
and I don't think I can stand another Day
'Cause I'm Travelin' Alone
and I'm so far from Home
It's a Feeling that I never could Embrace
If you can spare a little room
I'll be stoppin' by real soon
'Cause the Earth looks like a restful kind of Place
Well those Stars shine like Diamonds
'Gainst that Black Velvet Sky
and they're Tellin' me the way this trip should Flow
But I'm gettin' pretty Tired
and my Patience has Expired
and the Hourglass is runnin' pretty low
So I'll just Ease on my Way
until I find a place to Stay
and the Stars will Calm my Soul
and Ease my Mind
It's a Solitary Road
but to shed this heavy Load
I'll just take this trip
One Light Year at a Time

Premonition / Acid Rain
10:00
|
|||
(Premonition Intro)
An Acid Rain falls on the Land
And Penetrates the Ocean Sand
The Trees are Blackened from a Fire's Flame
Forever Banned to Grow Again
The Lightning streaks across the Sky
Should warn intrepid Passers-By
The Sky a fiery yellow-red
Illuminates a Landscape, Dead
The Bitter Fruit has now been Tasted
The Home we Knew has now been Wasted
It seems this Fate is well Deserved
A Death Row Sentence to be Served
The Race was Lost, The War was Won
Earth passed into Oblivion
A Legacy for Future Minds
The Epitaph of Humankind
This Picture that is so Darkly painted
Is Looming in the Road not far Ahead
And Living in a World Forever Tainted
Is Giving up our Sacred Home for Dead
Our Trials and Tribulations must be Ended
We know this Dreadful Fate all too Well
The Future of Our World must be Extended
or the Future will become a Living Hell
Along the Beach the Dolphins Lie
The Birds no longer Fill the Sky
A Requiem for a Time Gone Past
Negated by Atomic Blasts
This story should be never Told
When Times like these are Times of Olde
We must have much more Self Regard
This Acid Rain is far too Hard

Castles in the Void
04:14
|
|||
When life is getting too intense
You need a place to hide
A room that's far away from here
You'll lock yourself inside
Escaping from your daily life
Some mental fresh air
Do what you wish
don't be afraid
Because you're almost there!
Now you're alone
where are you Man?
At last you have arrived
Don't wait outside the Castle gates,
Go on and get inside
The Castles, cold and dark as hell
A place that some avoid
Your mind's alive, you're now inside
A Castle in the Void
The Castles are Infinity
The next dimension of the mind
You'll spend your live away there
Do nothing but unwind
The Universe is vast and free
the largest of its kind
But it don't hold a candle
to the Castles of our Mind

Desperation's Time
06:03
|
|||
I'm Alone again
In the Vacuum of Space
Far from Home again,
Feel my Life's but a Waste
I can Try so hard and get Nowhere
I sure love to Spin my Wheels
But Luck's dealt me a Deadly Blow this Time
I got Nothing left that is Real
Life is Sad again
As I Fly along my Way
Feel so Bad again
Nothing Positive to Say
The Consequence was too Great this time
I had no Choice but to leave
Their last Card was an Ace
But it was Trumped this time
What a Wicked Web they Weave
Should I Try Again?
What Futility!
How many times must I Run this Course?
My Patience... has long passed away
Desperation is the Driving Force
Will I ever find my Country Home
Where Peace and Tranquility Reign
Oh to Sleep in a Golden Hayfield Bed
Far Away from this Darkness and Pain
If I make it there
And this Trial is Through
Celebration will Rule the Day
I would give Anything to Pass this Cup
If I could only find a Way
But Now is Desperation's Time
In it's Dark, Black Cellers I Lay
Let me Climb the Steps
Let Me Leave this Hell
And Witness the Light of Day
The Light of Day...
Witness the Light of Day...
Yes, Until that Day
I'll feel Incomplete
My Spirit is only Half There
I must Summon all of my Courage
To Fight out of Desperation's Cold Dark Lair
Desperation's Lair...
Desperation's Time...

Slow Boat to Centauri
04:40
|
|||
Well I'd love to fly to Rigil
I hear it's four light years away
and the moment that I get there
I may just decide to stay
I've heard the women there are friendly
They love to take you by the hand
They wear intoxicating perfume
with powers no men understand, Yeah
Would you like to come along with me?
It's a long, long trip alone
You have no reason to stay here
because the Earth is doomed to burn
You know the Men that we call leaders
They really love to play with fire
and you know someday we'll soon see
the Earth become a funeral pyre
We'll see our star in the rear viewscreen
Yes, it will slowly slip away
We'll be awfully glad we left it
Rigil's better anyway
They say that Proxima is closer
but I have no real need for time
This frozen sleep will melt the years away
We'll wake in 2099
