I Ride the Rushing Hourglass
The Thoughts of Friends no longer mine
Enslaved unto the Sands of Time
The Smiles the Memories have Lit
Fade quickly as Reality Hits
and ushers in a sense of Need
a Taste of Immortality
To Freeze a Moment Declared Mine
Solidify the Sands of Time
or Timetrip back to another Day
To Break Time's Grip, Not Fade Away
The Present; It will always pass
While Trapped inside the Hourglass
We Dream (I Hope it is No Sin...)
To be On the Outside Looking In
The Future Above, The Past Below
I'm pulled down by the Undertow
To a Single Point; a Tiny Flue
Too Small for me to Pass on through
In this Place where Time Subsists
The Present; I cannot Resist
The Future Flows Down from above
and brings with it Good Times and Love
And then One Day, as I know It Must
The Sands will Drag me Past the Cusp
And Carry Me into the Past
In Present's Memories I will Last

The Crazy World's confusion just won't Slow him Down

who think they need to work their poor lives away
His Dreams are a World Unto Themselves
